Lifetime Warranty
Lifetime Warranty
We are proud to offer a lifetime warranty on every single piece so that you can rest assured that we will lovingly care for your Alfredo Gem Yard Fine jewelry whenever it needs servicing. We are proud of our craft.
We'll repair your jewelry at any time that it needs repairing, so long as you own it.
- Our warranty does not include the replacement of lost center or focal stones. We recommend you obtain insurance for your piece in the unlikely event of a focal stone falling out or getting damaged.
- Many of our pieces feature one-of-a-kind stones. If these stones become damaged, we will do our best to replace them with a comparable stone, but color and type may vary depending on what we have available.
-
Clients are responsible for shipping costs (to and from our studio) for cleanings, inspections, and repair work.
Please note that clients are responsible for import fees and customs charges in addition to shipping costs. Please check with your customs office about any fees that may be associated with having us repair your piece. - All repair work is free within the first two years of ownership (except the replacement of focal stones). After two years of ownership, we will charge a small labor fee and/or materials fee for your repair service.
- If you wear fine jewelry daily, a little wear and tear is normal. Our repair specialists will evaluate your piece. If you need repairs that go beyond what’s needed for normal wear and tear, we’ll let you know about the labor costs and material fees associated with your service.
- Repairs or polishing by third-party jewelers.
Please Note: The warranty is void if you take your piece to another jeweler for resizing or repair work.
✧ If your Alfredo Gem Yard's fine piece needs repair, please contact us at support@alfredogemyard.com to ensure that it’s entered into our service schedule. Our highly skilled repair specialist will evaluate your piece and stay in open communication with you about the work that’s needed and any associated costs.
✧ Feel free to reach out to us with any questions or if you need to pass on any additional information about the service you need.
Return & Refund Policy
Return & Refund Policy
Return & Refund Policy
We have a 30-days return policy, whereby you will need to raise a product return request within a period of 30 days from the day of product receipt.
For your item to be eligible for a return, it must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. The order number should be presented together with the confirmation email or proof of purchase.
Get in touch with us at support@alfredogemyard.com for any return questions. Since the ring is custom made as per your ring size/diamond/gold options chosen, any return which is unrelated to any manufacturing quality defect will have 20% restocking fees for moissanite & 30% restocking fees for CVD jewelry items. This fee covers the labor involved in resizing and servicing the returned piece. If the returned piece is in need of much cleaning or repair work or for that matter is in any other state that renders it impossible to resale, then we will tag a high restocking fee proportional to the extent of repair work needed.
Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
The Following items can't be returned or exchanges except for the condition the items arrive in, these include:
- Custom or personalized orders
- Eternity Bands made to order
- Items on Sale
- Items Purchased During a Sale Event
- Any physical damage on the product
A customer who is interested in exchanging their ring will have a 20% restocking fee subtracted from the original amount the customer paid for one of our rings. The percent withheld will be subtracted and the balance used towards the customer's new purchase. At the same time, the customer will be charged any price difference required for the exchange.
Any exchange, in this policy, is to be initiated within 30 days from the date of delivery of the ring. It is limited to one exchange per piece. The credit does not apply to future purchases, and the credit is limited to one exchange per piece.
Please notify us in advance that you are returning your jewelry, so we can be on the lookout for it and keep it safe. The cost of return shipping is paid by the client; we highly advise ensuring your parcel when returning it and using a traceable courier service—we can not be held responsible for any items lost in the mail.
REFUNDS
We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
Resizing
In case of non-fitting, we can do free resizes. You just pay for shipping—you send the ring to us.
Our current timeline to make resizing requests is 1-2 weeks from when we
receive your ring.
Ring sizing is not universal. While we have your ring for the resize, we'll perform a full inspection. Part of our process will automatically include addressing minor issues related to ordinary wear and tear. If we're going to do anything further, we'll send an intake form to get your okay. Then we will re-perfect your ring.
In some cases, we may just swap the original ring out for the same exact ring in your size vs. doing a resize. Why? If either a) it would result in a faster turn-around time, or b) if the integrity of the design would be affected. An exchange would only apply to bands that are plain gold and don't feature any stones. And as with any of our items, the ring for swapping would be custom-made from scratch. And as with all pieces, if we recommend that avenue, of course we'll reach out to you.
Clients are responsible for the cost of shipping both ways, and for international clients that includes customs fees.
Please Note: If you have selected the "Eternity Band" style option for your ring, resizing is $200 compared to our standard free service. You will need to confirm via email your ring size before we can start production on your piece.
Information About Repairs
If you have a repair, please email us at support@alfredogemyard.com. Before you mail it out, here are some important things to know about how we process repairs:
- Our repair technicians fill out a worksheet that highlights the piece's current state of condition, and what kind of repair work will need to be performed. We always return a copy of the repair form back to you—just so we are all on the same page.
- We'll jump on it right away, unencumbered by the need for your approval on a job that has a warrantable issue. That could consist of any of the following:
- Replacement or resetting of stones
- Replacing the setting
- Prong work or replacement
- Replacement of thinner areas of the band
- Ring sizing
- Before mailing us your piece, please let us know if: 1) You do not want us to do any or part of that warranty-related work. 2) You would prefer to have the opportunity to review and approve the scope of the work before we start.
- We will let you know if there is anything found to be outside of the warranty. At which time you are under no obligation to have the repairs done.
- Clients will be responsible for the shipping charges to and from the warranty.
- Currently, a normal timeframe for repair processing from our reception of your piece is 2-3 weeks.
Note: In the case that your piece is in need of a new stone, we cannot promise the availability of new limited edition or one-of-a-kind stones. In the event we are not able to source the exact stone, we will follow up with an alternative option and receive your approval before proceeding. We know things can happen and fine jewelry is delicate. There are things to take care of your jewelry.
And, of course, if something does happen, you just don't worry. We offer a fabulous lifetime guarantee for all the pieces we've sold. We stand behind our work, and we want to take care of you and your jewelry.
Jewelry Care Instructions
Jewelry Care Instructions
Proper care ensures your lab-grown diamond and moissanite jewelry retains its brilliance and beauty for years to come. To keep your pieces sparkling, regularly clean them with a mild detergent and warm water using a soft-bristled brush.
Avoid harsh chemicals and cleaners, as they can damage the stones and settings. When not in use, store your jewelry in a soft cloth or a separate compartment to prevent scratching and tangling. Remove your jewelry before engaging in rigorous activities or exposing it to harsh conditions, such as swimming or exercising, to prevent damage.
Periodically check the settings and prongs for any signs of wear or looseness, and have them professionally inspected and cleaned as needed. With proper care and maintenance, your lab-grown diamond and moissanite jewelry will continue to shine brilliantly for generations to come.
Size Guide
DISCOVERING YOUR RING SIZE
Ensuring the perfect fit for your ring is essential. For the utmost precision, we suggest visiting a nearby jewelry store to have your finger professionally measured.
The ideal fit means your ring should feel comfortable, allowing it to glide over your knuckle effortlessly. However, it shouldn't spin too easily once it rests on your finger.
If you're planning a surprise proposal, involving a family member (mother, sister) or a close friend often proves successful. Many people are excited to be part of such a special surprise
PRINTABLE RING SIZER (US RING SIZE)
Short on time? If a trip to the jewelry store isn't feasible, utilize our printable ring sizer.
Before printing, make sure the page scale is set to 100% in your print dialog box. Follow the provided instructions diligently. Keep in mind that accuracy depends on proper execution, so we always recommend an in-person measurement if possible.

To double-check your home-measured ring size before making a commitment to your chosen ring, you have the option to order a silver band for just US$10 in your measured size. Wear it for a few days, ensuring it feels comfortable on your finger. If satisfied, proceed to order your final selected ring. Rest assured, we will refund the US$10 (Silver Band Price) once you've successfully placed an order for your ultimate ring.
RESIZING
While we strive to craft rings to the correct size from the start, we recognize the challenge of predicting sizes, especially for surprise proposals. We offer complimentary resizing for your ring (initial resizing only). Simply return the ring to our manufacturing unit, and cover the US$75 shipping fees for the resized ring.
Please note, certain designs like eternity rings may not be resizable, and some rings can only be resized within specific limits. Excessive resizing, particularly for certain designs, may pose a risk to the integrity of the ring, such as potential diamond displacement in the future. To ensure a smooth process, we encourage you to strive for accuracy in determining your ring size before placing your order.
PRO TIPS FOR ACCURACY
To ensure precision, we advise measuring your ring size on multiple occasions. Finger sizes can vary throughout the day and with the changing seasons. Avoid measuring your ring size during instances of potential finger swelling (after a hot shower, exercise, extreme temperatures, or right after waking up) or when it might be contracted (after swimming, washing dishes, or exposure to cold). This approach helps guarantee the most accurate measurement for your perfect fit

What are lab-grown diamonds?

How are lab-grown diamonds made?
Lab-grown diamonds are produced using two primary methods: High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). Both methods replicate the natural conditions under which diamonds form in the earth.
Are lab-grown diamonds as durable as natural diamonds?
Yes, lab-grown diamonds are as durable as natural diamonds. They score a 10 on the Mohs hardness scale, making them suitable for everyday wear, including engagement rings and other fine jewelry.
How can you tell the difference between lab-grown and natural diamonds?
Distinguishing between lab-grown and natural diamonds typically requires specialized equipment used by gemologists. To the naked eye and even under a microscope, they appear identical.
Are lab-grown diamonds more affordable than natural diamonds?
