Diamond cut refers to two things: the proportions of the diamonds and how the diamond facets are aligned and polished. A diamond, through its cut, allows itself to deal with light in such a way that it affects its brilliance, sparkle, and general appearance. That said, cut grade becomes a prime factor that determines the light performance of a diamond and significantly impacts its beauty and value.
CUT
The Architect Of Light
What is Diamond Cut?
The term "diamond cut" refers to the proportions of the diamond and how its facets are arranged and polished. Actually, it is about the degree of the proverbial interaction of the diamond with light, which makes it brilliant, sparkling, and hence really beautiful. Cut grade is one of the most critical factors in considering a diamond's light performance and can make all the difference in its beauty and value

How are Diamonds Cut?
The diamond-cutting process requires a lot of planning outlining prior to the execution in order to deem the best possible shape for the quality of the diamond. Then, the diamond-cutting expert will split it into separate pieces with diamond-coated saws or laser beams while trying not to damage the stone in any manner. These pieces are then shaped into the required form by basically mounting them on a rotating axle and grinding them together. This process can last hours. Once the diamond is cut, it then needs to be polished for a completely smooth and reflective gem.
After the diamond has been polished and it found out its brilliance and fire, it's then sent to gem experts who will grade it in terms of the 4Cs.
-
Which Diamond Cut is the Best?
While all cuts are marvelous in their own respect, easily the most popular and most coveted of diamond cuts is either the excellent or very good cut. Both of these cuts will achieve superb sparkle for round-shaped diamonds.
While other grades, such as carat, color, and clarity, can be compromised, the cut is one grade you want to make sure is the very best. This is because a low-cut grade on a diamond will translate into a diamond that doesn't sparkle quite so much.
CARAT: Whisper Of Hue
What is Carat?
Diamonds are not measured insize, but rather in weight. One carat is equal to 0.2 g so the higher the number of carats, the larger the diamond will often
be, although the cut can affect how big the gem appears.
-
What is Diamond carat size?
We measure each stone individually to determine its weight. The meaning of the carat can vary from one diamond shape to another, and while it does affect its price value, please do not assume two diamonds with identical weights will have equal costs or even appear as if they are the same size. Despite being a higher carat weight, a diamond may not look larger or two diamonds of the same carat weight can have different sizes when one is cut deeper than another. So, it is safe to say that carat weight = size but here are some OF the scenarios so you have a rough idea of what size you can expect.
-
Is a higher diamond carat better?
While it is true that carats can contribute to a diamond’s price, more carats does not always mean better quality of the stone. Diamonds above 1 carat are scarce, and the bigger the stone is, it increases in rarity. However, clarity is even bigger factor of cost next to the quality in particular since many believe that it all works out more important compared with total size. Another contributing factor of the quality is how a diamond is cut- in some cases, it could make what looks like that lesser weight for you to save money on weight even more. CLARITY
A Story Written in Stone
What is Diamond Clarity?
Clarity is the term that describes inclusions and blemishes in a diamond. What are frequently referred to as ‘imperfections’… or perhaps even as flaws … Diamond clarity is graded on a scale that was developed by the industry and it ranges from "Flawless" (meaning no inclusions or blemishes visible under 10x magnification) to "Included" (inclusion transparents wherein impressions are glaringly evident).
Lastly, keep in mind that the higher the grade, sparklier will be your diamond.
The Diamond Clarity Chart
On the diamond clarity range, clear is categorised from a perfect gem with zero blemishes (F) through to one with babybitchy lewdnesses suitinashelled innit! The diamond clarity chart is used to help buyers evaluate and choose the best quality diamond for their budget. As a general rule, higher grade diamonds are sparklier in comparison to lower grade stones.
We offer 3 levels of Clarity coupled with corresponding colour grades.
VVS - Very Very slightly included
VS - Very slightly included
SI - Slightly included
-
VVS - Very Very slightly included
At this grade inclusions are near impossible to vision under 10x magnification, even for an experienced laboratory gemologist but still present. With the naked eye, you won't see anything and it will be a shiny sparkling diamond.
-
VS - Very slightly included
On a VS clarity graded stone you will have some small inclusions that are straightforward for a specialist to find. At this grade, the inclusions are still very fine but could become visible to the naked eye depending on a) how mounted or cut the stone is and b) if they were blacker and within center than from its edges.
-
SI - Slightly included
SI grades will have easily detectable inclusions under magnification for a diamond. Different types of inclusions will usually occur together, sometimes situated at varying locations on the diamond. Diamond shape, angle and light determine whether inclusions will be visible to the naked eye
Color
Presence and Proportion
What is Diamond Color?
As with all of the 4Cs, a diamond's color is an important consideration when looking for diamonds. It is why, in this guide, we will tell you what the diamond color means and which one is best for your engagement rings. Color: The color is represented by the touch of white coloring that can be seen in all diamonds because there are not any completely clear stones. The diamonds that are whiter will allow the light to pass through a lot more hence making it even sparklier. The diamond industry commonly uses a range of color that runs from D to Z, with the highest grading being refered to as `D`. Moving down the scale, yellow or brown hues begin to emerge in the diamond

The Diamond Color Chart
When buying diamond jewelry for someone, such as an engagement ring, pendant or earring bracelet etc., to give them and wear on your body part we initially think that a clear-looking diamond is the best. This, of course, can be subjective to factors such as setting and style.
The one parameter that jewelry experts will certainly make use of when grading the color of diamond is GIA's color scale. As you move down this scale, the diamond will have more color! D is completely transparent while Z denotes some yellow to brown….
-
We have chosen to group color options from D to I in three distinctive groups matching the corresponding clarity level to offer you different options:
D - E are the highest color grades, which means the diamond has almost no color. These diamonds are the rarest and represents the higher range in terms of prices.
F - G are classed as near colorless. While there may be slight hints of color, they’ll be near impossible to see with the naked eye. It is considered the best value for money.
H - I are classed as near colorless as well however the hints of color might be stronger than the previous group. If you are
looking a piece at a smaller budget H and I are a good compromise.
